Our trip from Koh Samui to Chiang Mai occurred as follows: picked up at noon from hotel. 1 hour shuttle ride to ferry. 2 hour ferry ride to bus stop. 3 hour wait at bus stop. 10 hour overnight bus ride to Bangkok. 6 hour wait at the Bangkok airport (to fly to Chiang Mai). This is me during this 6 hour wait.
