My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Indonesia | Tuesday, July 2, 2013 | 5 photos

It has been my lifelong dream to become one of those who travel uncharted lands and write about it. Being a travel photojournalist (and, if possible, for National Geographic) is a big thing for me, and has since long ago been a personal passion. I wrote at length since young age, and ever since I got my own camera I had been travelling a little bit around the island of Java and Bali, here in Indonesia, and also a bit in South Australia back in my student exchange experience.

I myself am a registered member of a mountaineering club in my university, and I have hopped on with the other members to climb mountains and such, with me documenting the landscapes with my trusty digital camera. Having been on some expeditions to traverse mountains, I am convinced of my physical prowess and good mentality to boot. Some people said I got a keen eye for landscape photography and I hope professionals could also comment on my work.

Being in Greenland would be a new thing for me, a whole new place on a whole new region, but I would love to be able to test my ability to the limit. I mean, and I stress this out, being able to realize one of your old dreams should be plenty extraordinary, right?
