pillaging the village

im writing this as im sitting in jesses apartment in london ... last time i wrote i was in les avenieres and we were about to head out ,,, we ended up going to this local club ... it was a ggooood goood good fun night :) drinks were sooo expsneive and this was in the country!!!! crazy crazy but the music was fun they had all these old english song remixes and it was much less electra than aussie clubs ... much more vocal and fun to dance too ,,,, i was the only person that knew the words hahaha and that was singing because everyone else was french and didnt understand the englishlyrics i learnt something else about french ppl while they drink with every meal etc they dont drink in exessive quanities ,,, i went out with two girls maud and her friend yolene and neither of them drank!!!! two random guys came with us who were friends of yolene and they didnt drink either!!! what the hell!!!! no one at the club was realltydrinkning!!!! i asked the girls why do ppl not drink and they r like ohh yeh we do but we have one or two glasses .... MAN they should visit australia .... i had brocolli for breakfast hahah i had a broccolli and mayo and camembert sandiwhc yumyumyumyum and my french family thought i was crazyyy hahaha silly french never eat savoury stuff for breakfast ... they eat sweet stuff ... they thing the english are crazy for having savoury breakfasts ... thenn that morning maud drove me to lyon and i caught the train to paris ... and then went to the airport and caught the plain to london using british airways ... my chrager arrived in paris!!!! after five weeks ahh how crazy ... stupid bureacrtic french ... oh and on the way to the airport ... i caught the train through the slum area of paris like the northern suburbs ... it was just heaps of comission houses and it sort of felt like an africain ghetto town on the movies ... everyone was really helpul on the train and nice!!! there were NO customs at all hahaha when i got to the airport ... my bag weight in at 25 kgs and i had left heaps of stuff at my french families house ... i think im going to have trouble comming home oopsy british airways put me through heapps of securitiy cheaps when i was boarding the plane .. everyone had to take their shoes offf at the airport going through the scanner thing ... i think its a post london bombings thing so i arrive in london and luce picked me up from the airpor t... i LOVE london ive only been hear a day but im having a great time with the girls (and yes i no i spelt here wrong just then but i cant be bothered going back and changing it) i feel really comfortable in london everyone is friendly and easy going its sort of like a big melboune but is has lots more older looking buildings last night we went out to dinner in brick lane ... its an indian restaurant area n so cheap ... jess bargained her way in and we got two free bottles of wine woooo ... its like a china town but instead with indian food ... we went out to a few pubs and came home around 1ish .. im staying in jess' apartment .... its in an area called little venice ... my metro/tube station is called warwick avenue ... i think thats how u spell it jess is lucy's best friend (lucy is the girl i work with at tutoring and go to uni with we do french together) so its me and jess and kayley and sarah ... we are all camping out in jess' living room jess' mum is working in london for three yers ... but she is from melb originally they have just moved here a while ... the place we are staying in is really cute its an apartment and there is this little strip of really cute shops ie. organic bakeries, patisseries and really lovely shops .. really pretty area this morning the girls went to a place called the dungeons ... i didnt want to do another tour argh so sick of them after paris an there were some things i wanted to doo sooo i caught the bus to oxford street (yesss the one on the monopoly board) and went shopping to this place called primark ... its like sports girl BUT its a billion times cheaper ... shoes for 10 pounds!!! (to change into dollars,, just times it by 2 .... one pound = 2.2 aussie dolars ... i think anyway, this is what luce said last nite) i got mum this pretty mustard coloured cardigan and kas some cute pig socks ... mum there was a mustard coat but it was really really cheap looking ... thenn i walked halfway to knightsbridge ... this is where harrods the store is ... but ended up taking the bus after halfway because i underestimated the distance lol ... so wenttt to harrods and WALKED DOWN PARK AVENUE ... the really realy expsneive place on the monoopoly board that everyone wants to buy got some souverniers too and nowww im sitting in the apartment quickly typing up the blog we are going to play monopoly this afternoon and have a little tea party and i think we are going out tonight ... we are meant to be going to Ministry of Sound the club ... BUT appartmently its like 25 pounds entry ... this is WAYY too much haha and lucy and kayle came home at 9am this morning and still havent slept haha soooo im not sure if we will end up going the bar scene in london is really really coool heaps of pubs i really like london because its pretty ad the people are nice and its just like melbourne but bigger and busier!!!!!!!!!!!! tomorrow we are going to Church ... its this club called Church and it starts at 12 midday and goes all afternoon ... u strap icebags of drinks to u or something like thatttt im going to fly to berlin on sat i think thats when the contiki start s... was going to go earlier and spend a few nights there but i cant get a flight earlier I LOVE LONDON I WANT TO DO AN EXCHANGE HERE love me ps photos will be up soon but there isnt a slot for my memory card on this comp
