the french ...

FRANCE | Wednesday, 28 November 2007 | Views [397]

just something that ive noticed and is going to be a huge generalisation and im vry much encouraging contradiction BUT ...

the french seem to be less individualistic that us back home ... they seem to be less concerned with gaudiness and materialism and less selfilsh (aunty suzanne n uncle john please feeel free to contradict me here:)) ... this inference is based only only only on the way that they dress and act in supermarkets and their interactions with me and my french family ... and im wondering if this sort of mentality stems from the fact that their government taxes them a lot to provide services (ie. transport/health etc) and that they have less free spending money than we have in australia? (im basing this on the comments that ive heard from ppl that france is known for its high income tax rates) .... anyways no opinions just a thought :)
