24th May 2008: - Today we arrive home in the UK; emotions are running high as we touch down at Heathrow airport, our twentieth & final flight. Wow that sounds crazy, I still can not believe that we had the chance to do this & we would both do it again at the drop of a hat, just need to win some money first! Joanna & Jessica come running towards us once we walk through the arrivals at Heathrow. Like a scene out of a movie we stop smack bang in the middle of arrivals & have a huge group hug. Our time away has been an experience of a life time & we will both treasure every single minute of it. From the bad, Drew nearly breaking his leg in New Zealand (Sorry did not want to worry anybody at that point in time), to the unforgettable kindness that the people of Nepal expressed. We would like to thank all of the people that we met along the way; you have made our travels very special. It was so good to meet so many like minded people & to exchange travel tips, which we were able to use for the remainder of our travels. Although I think we also received many tips on places that we need to visit in the future! Lastly we would like to thank all of our family & friends back home in the UK. Thank-you for reading this blog & putting up with my awful spelling & grammar (I was never that good at English). You were all very supportive when we told you that we were heading off for a year & you remained supportive whilst we were away. THANK-YOU X

Happy landing's, great to know you guys are back now in Blighty, I'm sure your still getting through the piles of washing, time to take the Daz doorstep challenge I think...

Must feel strange to be back here, but now your back in-time for Summer, bbq's and the like I'm sure, well hopefully the BBC are busily compiling a DVD collection of your trails, and I hear that your tales are being filmed, Michael Palin takes Drew's position, and Judith Chalmers takes yours Michelle :)

I hope that I get some of your travel tips, must be encyclopaedic in size by now, but it's the pictures of the travel's that I'd like to view, I've still got to give you the ones of you guys from Africa I took of you too if you wanted some more, especially of Drew in the Macorra boats in the Okavango Delta!!!

You'll be glad to know that technology has advanced somewhat while you've been away, I hear hard drive's are now in Terabyte size, not sure if one is enough but should allow a decent amount of photo backup I'm sure :)

Well I'm honoured to know you guys, you've given me many a laugh, through thick and thin, and I'm so happy to have met you both too, hopefully we'll get to share a beer or two, and reminisce and then decide where else to go next.

I love you guys, I know your married, doesn't mean I'm into threesome's but a big hug from Carlos nonetheless :)
