Alys Madura will probably get a tattoo while in Europe. For the past several years, after graduating from the University of Denver in her home state of Colorado, Alys has began the epic journey of matching her lifestyle to her state of mind. She moved to Seattle, started spending more time outdoors, let work be work and play be play, and thought more about her carbon footprint. Alys has let bad experiences teach her and good experiences build her confidence in exploring more. This Europe trip is about continuing to explore and expand her point of view. Alys feels like a tattoo might enter the picture at some point.
Jess is going to have to get used to talking in third person. Or perhaps that will change. For now she is eager to begin the next phase, one that will consist of stinky tents, old t-shirts, European beer, fantastical and ever changing conversation over different palates, and traveling with a friend who loves to laugh with her, but also loves to plan. As we know planning is not Jess's strong point. Jess also knows that each day will be completely unpredictable. And that is where she feels most at home...at least for the time being.
