To Travel - An Iranian Perspective

I have an investigative curiosity about the world and the people in it. It was this curiosity that pushed me to study journalism and international studies and propelled me to take a job as a flight attendant in order to travel on a budget while getting better at photography and videography. I have learned a lot in the past year about what makes a good documentary-style video. But I find I need a push, a mentor, to help get me past the initial stages of the learning process, to catapult me past the gap between taste and creative output, as Ira Glass has phrased it. I want to hone this craft because I want to tell good stories, powerful stories, small stories; the ones not being told that need a chance to be heard.
