Baekje Cultural Festival is an annual event that honors Korea's 5,000 year old history with fireworks, traditional foods, costumes and events. I have had the chance to visit Baekje city during this colorful and picturesque time and experienced the festival first hand. To some, history may seem stale and uninteresting, but it is exactly the opposite at Baekje. People are able to dress up as ancient Kings and Queens, try traditional foods and snacks, play games and experience Baekje the way their great great parents did. Of course, this festival is also open to foreigners, where as an aspiring photographer, I'm able to practice and perfect my craft. I'm inspired by Korea's long history, its enduring people, traditions and cultural aspects. I'm determined to grow as a photographer in order to capture this inspiring and ever changing country.
