Outside the main building of the station, this beautiful quirk of symmetry really caught my imagination. The passage leading down led to a subway connection linking the two platforms of the station.

After a long day exploring the beautiful coastline of Polignano, we found ourselves waiting for a train for three hours in a completely empty station. The waiting room pictured here was quite unique, with no chairs, an old ticket machine, graffitied yellow walls, and superb acoustics.

The subway path between the two platforms had a real character to it. The dim lighting with colourful graffiti, and beautiful local stone made a great setting for us playing a little plastic bottle football to pass the time, as we waited for our train.
