Documenting Cairo's First Impressions

Maybe the practical three years experience that I had, working with big international Media outlets, like the public German Television and Broadcaster ARD, Deutsche Welle TV, the German-Frensh broadcaster Arte TV, would enlarge the possibility of winning.
But I don't have much practical experience in the Documentaries' production, because I used to work as a producer and translator at the agencies.
Although I've started to produce my own Documentaries, but it's still very little experience, and I haven't had the chance to be taught by professional filmmakers. I just kept watching online films and trained myself alone. I also didn't attend any Documentaries' workshops before.
Working as an independent one-man crew has enhanced my ability to work with very limited resources and under tense conditions. My clearest evidence is the one-man crew, zero-budget documentary that I've done a couple of weeks ago. In this film, I packed my whole studio in one back-bag and toured all around Cairo collecting travel memories, first impressions and feeling of foreigners in the City. Despite the bad reputation of the freedom of the press and the Camera-phobia in Egypt, I have been able to challenge myself and produce the film without any problems and within time.
In terms of the theoretical and academic background, finally, I am going to start my Master's program of Communication and Media studies, this year.
