About ahmedyacoub
I am an Egyptian 25-year-old male media passionate. I am just trying to discover places, countries, people, traditions and everything through the lenses of my little semi-professional Camera. I love to record everything.
After finshing my Business Bachelor's degree, I didn't feel that I will occupy myself in this field of Business and Banking. Although I found a job in a Bank in Cairo, but I just quit because I didn't find myself as a banker. I love to deel with equipments and move around, rather than dealing with papers and documents wearing a suit and tie and sitting on a disk the whole day.
then I got a part time job at a media agency in Cairo, as a translator or assistant producer. At that job, I found myself and felt that I was really fulfilling my passion and dreams. I like it so much working for a media company. Everyday I had new things to see or do. I got to know a lot of people and journalist from all over the world.
My tasks in the agency were to contact people with whom my colleagues journalist were filming, translating interviews, archiving and sorting visual and audio material, managing the social media network's pages of the company. But then I bought a little camera and decided to enter the world of filmmaking and documentaries.
I started to watch video tutorials online, just to get the background and to train myself. Then I started to produce my first film, which was about the cultural diversity in Cairo.
Because of the nature of my job, I used to meet new people from all around the world almost everyday. I met many journalists and professionals who come to spend work trips in Cairo, I met student studying in Cairo, I met just tourists and globetrotters who just want to discover Cairo.
What was impressive for me, is who so many different and diverse people all meet in one place. I was eager to know how all these different people live in Cairo. How do they see it. How do they feel. What were their first impressions, etc.
Then I decided to turn this fascinaion into a short Documentary. I packed my simple equipments in one backbag and started to tour the city to interview foreigners and tourists about their life and feelings living in Cairo.

Regarding my academic life, I just got the admission to start my master's degree at a well reputable university in Germany.
Regarding my career's development, I am right now doing an internship at VICE MEDIA (http://www.vice.com/de).
Regarding my hobbies: My hobby is to walk around cities and crowded places and streets, and watch the life, watch the people's faces and expressions. I know it's pretty weird hobby, but I like to do so. As soons as I get some free time, I just go out to crowded places, like an entrance of a train station or what alike, and sit there watching the people coming out and getting in.
I also like of course, recording everything. Be it writing, photographing, videographing, painting, etc. (Here you can find my records: https://egyeverythingtv.wordpress.com/ )
I am a big passionate of hiking and traveling.
Playing and listening to music is one of my hobbies as well.
