My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Kenya | Wednesday, July 3, 2013 | 4 photos
My passion to photography developed during my adventurous trips around the world. I believe there is nothing better than photography to capture and depict the best moments whilst visiting outstanding places, admiring beautiful and unique nature and mingling with people rich in cultural virtues and social values. I always enjoy when I am able to take the photos that tell some stories, express people’s feelings and make viewers sense that place, that person or nature on the photos as they have been there with me. Taking meaningful and technically good photos is not an easy task. I have never studied photography. What I have grabbed is by self-learning and self-practicing driven in my passion to photography and belief in its amplifier effect to picturesque storytelling. I still have a lot to learn and the scholarship combining theory and practice in such a great place could help me develop and improve visual and technical skills and progress towards professional maturity. I could then use more effectively photography as an expressive tool to depict and document the reality of photographed subjects, to attract people’s eyes to see more than just a photo but to feel its depth and power.
