An IT consultant by profession, but a travel photographer at heart. Love for nature and travelling has been in my blood for as long as I can remember. Photography started as a way to capture my journeys through nature and share with friends, but it has now evolved as a canvas to convey my emotions, thoughts and the way I perceive things around me to a larger audience.
Though I do not restrict myself to any one particular form of photography, I must confess Im fascinated by the natural world and love shooting wildlife. Im first a naturalist at heart and then a photographer.
For this contest Iv submitted a set of 5 photos which I shot in Borneo. One of the key things that these photos represent is my ability to keep all my senses : eyes ears nose, open to my surroundings and ability to spot the interesting things that nature has to provide us, and my dedication to learn about my subjects.
There are several reasons that I deserve to be part of this assignment to Bhutan. The strongest reason being, Im a serious bird watcher and conservation has been one of my motives for getting into wildlife photography. This assignment will not only give me an opportunity to learn photography but also about conservation from the masters. This is a chance to kick start my dream of becoming a travel and documentary photographer and do my bit towards conserving our mother earth.
