After this long ass train ride where nothing was comfortable and I couldn't sleep enough I made it to Shenyang in the sunrise. It was beautiful but I needed to find a place to stay. Couch surfing wasn't an option here and the hostel I knew of was known for being difficult to find. I was going to splurge on a hotel but I decided not to give up and find the bus that would stop near the hostel. I made it! Finally got to shower and took a nap. My new straightener works too!
I was half decided on not doing anything in Shenyang but I decided that I'm not that lazy and I went out in search of a park. Beijing park was quite a walk away but it has a tomb in this one end (which closed when I got there) and it has another part with the feeling of a run down amusement park but smaller.
After that I stopped into a small -no English at all- restarant where I successfully ordered a vegetarian dish with rice and beer (500ml bottle) all for 15¥. Soooo cheap and sooo good.
So I think I'll look for a place to get a foot massage tomorrow before my next train at 3pm to Harbin. My ankles and foot were notably fat and swollen when I checked into the hostel. They aren't that bad now so I blame the train ride. Mom, it's fine. Just be entertained.
