So it was me and a group of others these last few day. We were all solo travelers and wanted to see the same things. They came from Argentina, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, France, and more. And as soon as I got comfortable in Beijing it was time to go and we all said our goodbyes as each of us had to catch a train. We all opened our future couches to each other and it was nice. Only time will tell if this will ever happen.
Anyways, I made it to Chengde with a beautiful train ride through mountains and farms. I swear, any patch of land with value has corn growing on it. Even between roads. It was the same in the city too!
My seatmates were quiet but friendly and tried to converse with me but my mandarin was too short.
So now I'm waiting for Mia but it will be a while. I just had a Filet-o-Fish and it has a different recipe... Not as good I think. They also have OnePiece toys for the happy meal, not Pokémon.
BTW,
Peking duck is the fattest thing I've ever eaten
Not sure of its worth trying again, the meat was good but we did order a cheaper version.
