The Hamish and Adam rocket has blasted into super space. We have ripped through some 'choice as bro' things already.
Our first Queensland experience was like an episode of Man vs Wild. We lined up a day trip with 'THE BAMA WAY' ABORIGINAL JOURNEYS and met up with Brandon Walker, a local native, who proved himself as the Mr Miyagi super guru of living off the land. From leaves that you can make into soap to berries that double as eye drops, he knew it all. No trek through the knee deep muddy mangroves would be complete without finding some food. It was business time for the kiwi hunting duo.
One way to find out where a mud crab is hiding is to stand on it by accident, and that is exactly what Hamish did. Keeping composed and utilizing his jungle cat like reflexes he took two steps back, one breath, and accurately speared that sucker straight through the eyeball.
The village was delighted with the Guinness World Record sized crab which would feed them for months on end and announced that July 31st would forever be known as Hamish day.
Jokes aside Brandon and the crew put together a top notch feast at the end of the trip where you get to sample local delights that you would never have sampled before. We were blown into timbuktoo by how good turtle tasted.

Next up we took a boat cruise on the Daintree river and witnessed pure crocodile gigantisismness. Hanging out on the muddy bank was the undefeated heavy weight champion of the Daintree 'Fat Albert'. He weighed in at a colossal one hundred kazillion pounds. What a spectacle!
Our other tour guide for the day Troy aka T - Roy finished things off in great form by taking us to a private waterfall/swimming hole. It was stiff nips central for all but a refreshment factor of 45+SPF.
