My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
India | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos
My name is Abi and I’ve got three Juggling balls. They are my family, my Airline analyst day Job and my photography. It is hard to juggle them as they are all weighted quite differently with the family and day job balls being heavier than my photography ball. However, I slowly but surely have started balancing them by filling my photography ball with more time and passion.
Born and brought up in India, I moved to a picturesque Scotland for my degree in Aerospace engineering. The old university buildings, the beautifully arranged cloisters, the fresh green fauna that engulfs the cityscape inspired me to reach for a camera. When I am not taking pictures, I am usually thinking or learning something new about photography.
I have always loved to capture pictures with available light. I feel it brings a kind of realism and a sense of actually being in the place. I really love to push whatever camera I have at my disposable to the limits to get the picture I want. I love travelling and I have never shied away from demanding challenges that comes in the way of capturing great images. I know this whole experience will be perfect for someone like me who is just stepping into professional photography. I know even if I do not hear back, I still cherish this wonderful opportunity to have participated in this competition. Thanks for your time.
