Flagler, UCF TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY SCHOLARSHIP

This series of images representing Flagler County is not about the hidden gem embedded on the east coast of northern Florida; in fact it's much more personal. I want to share how a place can show change not only physically but also in perspective and through time. As I was younger, each of these locations in Flagler meant something else to me than what they currently do now; every image serves as a mausoleum of memories past. I have been a resident in the area almost my entire life (seventeen years), and now at the age of twenty-two I seek more than the rural area surrounding me. Ever since I have realized art and imagery could be a voice, it has been my main source of communication to others. I wish to inspire and teach others how to use their artistic voices, especially when it is difficult to use their real voice.
