I had never really known what a community center did or what its purpose was, but it had the only swings in the area. When I was part of a church group I would try to play basketball with the group of bigger kids my brother was in; I was pushed around a lot and rarely got the ball. There was even a wedding reception here. After the reception I realized I never wanted to get married in poverty and have a place like this be the party room.
