I’ve only been in a Food Lion once, when I was still friends with Beau, never quite compared to shopping with mom in Winn Dixie. Never amounted to much anyways.

There was a prominent tennis club to the left just as you entered the city. It was the city’s hub. Tourists would flock here thirty years ago and enjoy Florida orange juice. My friend David and I went with his parents once; we were six. It was a short play date; David and I don’t speak anymore.

The south side of the beach is supposed to be for old people, but I find it more relaxing than the cracked out adolescence on the other side. My friends and I from high school would be out here for hours; not sure if I ever fit in with them or if I was just a decent pretender.
