The Hike to the Lagoon

Today the 4 of us decided we were going to hike up to the viewpoint and the laggon that is in the middle of one of the huge limestone karsts. It was a crazy hike. The first 10 minutes of the hike was like an 80 degree angle hike up clay and roots using a muddy rope to not fall and kill yourself. The viepoint was really cool but the best part was getting to the lagoon because it was such a challenge getting there. That hike had parts where we had to scale down 3 separate 15 ft. walls with barely any foot or hand holds. We were very muddy and tired by the end of it. The lagoon was such a treat by that point. Nice blue water with huge walls all around you. It was maybe 100 ft in diameter. When you floated out to the middle and looked up, it looked really cool. After swimming there for 20 minutes, we decided to hike and climb our way back out which was just as hard as getting down there. At night time Will and I hung out at the Smile Bar and had a jam session with all the locals at the bar. We had 3 jambe drums, shakers, guitar and an Aussie guy was even rocking the didjerie doo, not sure of the spelling on that one. It was a fun night!
