We decided that we did not need to stay another day in the mountains as we do not have many days left in India. So we jumped on a bus and headed for kottayam, where the backwaters of kerala can be found. The first couple of hours of the bus ride was awful, we sat at the back and were literally falling off of our seats with every swerve, bump and brake of the bus. We moved towards the front which was slightly better but not good enough to stop the breakfast that i ate and that some other passengers ate from flying out of our mouths!!
We were relieved to arrive at our destination and find decent accommodation for the night, before our overnight houseboat trip booked for tomorrow....
