Alba's Prologue

'A hud it aw…' is what my papa would lament. I had it all.

But I suppose everyone did at one time.

For me, it feels like yesterday when everything was ahead of me. Every day brought laughter and love, every path was open and the future would effortlessly fall into place as the eternal suns lit my way. Now things are changing. Tonight I am the last tree gripping to the earth; my last leaves beginning to wither, fall then die. But these leaves will never grow back for those suns will never return.

A film came on a few years ago warning that everything we have we lose. It made me consider that maybe we're better off with nothing. Only… I can't seem to convince myself. Maybe I believe that I can get something back… maybe everything.

Is... is that a light ahead? This is my story.
