These are photographs taken in Florence, Italy at the Calcio Storico Fiorentino (the historic soccer event held each year in summer) I wanted to capture the sense of passion of both the players and the spectators through the lighting and the colours of the costumes. This was very important to me as this city is full of excitement and life during the summer period and I really wanted to explore this in my documentation of this event.

I am 21 years old and currently studying applied photography at RMIT in Melbourne. Prior to this I gained my degree in Fine Arts at The Victorian College of the Arts also in Melbourne. To me photography has always and will always be my focus in life. The more I have devoted my time to this craft the more I have fallen in love with it and it is something I want to continue professionally. For me photography is a fantastic form of expression that can give people the ability to see beyond the mundane and find something beautiful in the the everyday.
I am an avid learner and get great satisfaction in conversing with other students and professionals in this field to gather more skills for my future.
