My Scholarship entry - Faces of San Cristobal
Mexico | Friday, January 11, 2013 | flickr photos
I am a young 28 years old guy that is curious about the world around me and this curiosity so far brought me to over fifty countries around the world. I have desided to follow my dreams and live the life of an adventure, even though it wasn’t always easy.
While travelling I have realised that the world these days is changing at a pace so fast, that it’s not always possible to visit the same place twice within the time frame of even several years. For me photograhy is a tool that helps to document this ever chaning world around me.
I am highly interested in documental and street photography that emphasises in storytelling and life of people, capturing true moments of now and raw emotions. At the same time human dignity is my core value, so I always photograph strangers as if I am taking pictures of my family and friends.
This scholarship is an amazing opportunity to bring my life’s passion to a professional level and I’m eager to make the most of it.
My small photo essay is focused on life of local population of Mexican town San Cristobal de la Casas and an impact of a growing tourism industry in this colonial town.
