My Scholarship entry - Glimpse of Egypt

I have traveled a lot in my life. I am usually on a mission to make a change in the world. After working in human rights for over a decade, I went into filmmaking to make films about what I have seen in the field of human rights in many countries that were poverty and war stricken. I have worked for children and women who faced hardship & abuse. I am now writing and shooting scripts about these issues in order to spread awareness and hopefully make a difference with my camera. I sometimes don't have access to funding to shoot those stories, so I bought a canon 7D kit in order to be able to shoot on my own when I need to do that. When I heard about World Nomads, I was delighted as I felt maybe this is a chance for me to also photograph or film other things in life, things that are beautiful and positive and inspiring. This also can impact the world positively. I would love to use my skills and education and hopefully talent to learn to capture beauty in the world, not just struggles as the world is about so much more than just painful experiences. I was a finalist before at World Nomad and I hope this time, I will get a chance to be part of it. I can use some beauty in my life.
