My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am nice, too nice in fact, but I have a dirty mouth, a big heart and an incredible passion for learning about the world. I want to keep traveling and learning and photographing.
Having lived in the UAE as a child, I am very familiar with the Gulf region and the nomadic values, but I am also curious to return as an adult and to really explore all the beauty and marvel that is Oman. I often wonder what if I never left the Middle East, would I have had these marvelous opportunities to travel and learn? I may not have the skill yet, but I know I have an eye and more importantly an instant ability to relate to the people I encounter in my travels. Not to mention a deep founded passion that keeps me looking forward to my next adventure, constantly. I want to learn to tell my stories better and to share them more creatively and professionally. I want to be one of few if not only women of Middle Eastern background to do something that challenges the status quo. I want the mentorship of someone who’s passionate and excited to share their wisdom and knowledge. I am not a seasoned photographer yet, but I am a wanderer who would love to make photography and travel my destiny.
