My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Australia | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 3 photos
I live in a house of four people, in Melbourne, Australia. Sebastian, Braden, Tom are artists/designers, and thoughtful, loving individuals. We live in a spacious, rambling old bungalow with a lemon tree, gardens, and two sheds on Moreland Road in Brunswick.
It is through living at this house that I have learned of the power of numbers to influence, being creative with random acts of kindness, and of abundance. Our house is a vehicle to connect with friends and other like-minded individuals who love art, ideas, food, and life. The house is my subject of choice.
The first photo is of a ranunculus on our kitchen window sill. I love how the weak morning sunlight hits the thin, slightly crinkled petals. The second photo is of morning coffee on the kitchen table, and the pretty souvenir teaspoons we use to stir. The last photo is of one of the pancakes I made for breakfast, for three friends who were staying over.
If I win this scholarship, the exposure would contribute to one of my life's goals, which is to eventually set up a scholarship foundation for self-starters who want to study art and media. I basically want to teach, help, love, inspire and spread more beauty through every possible channel in my reach.
Last of all, a link to my photoblog: http://dangerouscake.wordpress.com
