    This was taken in the Railes, on our way to drop off the propane gas tank to a lady. We saw a few kids swimming in this water. To the right of this picture, there was a small field with horses overlooking. Views[194] This is my favorite picture from the entire trip! Also taken in the Railes, we walked through the entire village to give a propane gas tank to one of the residents so she could cook for her family. One the way back from visiting the lady, I was amazed to see how connected everyone was. This was the type of village where whole families-- parents, uncles, cousins, and grandparents-- all lived together. They understood what it meant to literally put family first, since they were in such close proximity to each other. This shot is taken The children shown attended a kids service we put on at their church. They were so welcoming of us and immediately warmed themsleves to us, as if we were long lost relatives. Saying Taken in another poor village closer to Santo Domingo, the crew and I went through and invited the neighbors to a children's program we were putting on. This was the beginning of our walk through homes. This was a good reminder of the beauty found throughout the DR despite the mass poverty. Views[583] This photo was taken while I was on a van heading to a church in La Vega. These men were standing in front of a store and offered to wash windshields of cars passing by. While my missions group and I were waiting for a green light, they came to the window of the van asking if they can wash our windows in exchange for money. Views[233]
