About me:
My name is Yuri Avi. I was born in Russia in 1987. A few months ago i moved to Melbourne. I’m passionate about travels, photography and music. I love our planet and nature. It’s amazing to realize how many life forms our planet has. It’s greatest gift we have – life!
I started to take photographs when i was 18 and since that time it became a strong passion for me. Photography for me is the way to express my vision, emotions and experience through the images i see with a camera. It's a non-verbal language which you can use to share your vision. At the same time it's the way to explore the world i live in and the beauty of nature cause being a photographer gets you to the places you would never go being just a traveler or a tourist.
I will be the happiest man in the world to have this opportunity to travel to such an amazing place as South Africa and to learn from a world known professional photographer. It would be a very important and once in a life chance for me to get to a door of professional photography. It's an unbelievable opportunity to have a terrific experience and improve my skills and vision.
It's very important for me to inspire people, share my vision and tell a story with my photographs, so as a contribution to the community i hope to inspire people to respect the wildlife and to arise an interest to travel and explore our world.
About the photos:
These pictures were taken in Goa, India in march of 2011. India is the most contrast land i saw. Very colorful and beautiful with a rich wildlife and very poor and dirty at the same time.
