My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Greece | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

Since I was young I always remember myself with a camera. Nowadays, I work as an architect and recently started approaching photography in a different way. It all started five years ago, when I decided to follow my dream and I took my first photography and photojournalism seminar. Since then, I realised that photography is one of the most important things in my life.
One of the things that always keeps me going is my passion of creating. It is not only about creating something respectable that everyone will admire, but the journey of learning through the process, the emotions that lead up to the result. Seeing different things and meeting different people and cultures, is the source of my inspiration. That is why travelling became one of the most essential element to creativity. In my pictures I always try not only to capture time and space, but to create a new reality through that moment. For me, one of the most important things in photography is not only to try to impress with an image but to irritate mind and awake imagination.
For me it will be a great honor to be a part of this project and having the opportunity of learning and exploring new perspectives in photography.
