I have been into wildlife photography for the past 3 years. The first photograph in my wildlife career was a tiger taken in Nagarahole, a tiger reserve in south India. Photographing a tiger is one of the rarest occurrences for a wildlife photographer. I was blessed with the opportunity to capture the majestic beast, but the photograph was not up to the expected level. This is where I learnt that it is absolutely necessary for a wildlife photographer to understand technology to the fullest so that the right opportunity is not missed. From there on I started visiting tiger reserves in south India and got interested in conservation. This trip will be an excellent learning oppurtunity for me. This trip would be appropriate to equip myself technically and aesthetically.
The photos I have posted here is taken from pulicat lake. This is a salt water lake that is present in the boders of Tamilnadu and Andhra pradesh.Pulicat lake has rich flora and fauna diversity, which supports active commercial fisheries and a large and varied bird population.
The shallow lake is known for its diversity of aquatic birds and is an important stopover on migration routes and is reported to be the third most important wetland on the eastern coast of India for migratory shorebirds, particularly during the spring and autumn migration seasons.
This lake has also lots of threts because of human activities like fishing, oil spilling, killing of birds for meat and so on. Even though this place is been a bird santury it needs more protection.
