My name is Ximena Etchart. I'm an argentinian born photographer.
I've been photographing and documenting for weeks during 2010 winter a cruel reality we are now living in Argentina.
With the economic crisis a growing number of people are sleeping on the street. Suffering from really cold winters, no food and no job.
In Capital Federal, Buenos Aires - Argentina 80% of homeless are men.
This is the result of many organizations which assist peolple sleeping on the streets. They are called "Paradores". Some of them are provided by the government and some of them by social workers.
At the “Parador”, they can sleep, shower, eat, and they are assisted by psychologists, social workers and doctors. Usually, entering at six in the evening and must leave at six in the morning.
All of them are homeless.
They are all people looking to have a decent life.
Parador Bepo Ghezzi is one of the many paradores which try to help them and give them a decent place to eat and sleep.
