My name is Katie and I just finished my degree in media, journalism and writing. I have a passion for travelling and seeing the world. Every moment I have experienced while travelling has a very special place in my heart. The world amazes me and that is where my love of photography and being able to capture a moment to hold on to and share is expressed. I've only photographed as a hobby, but it's something I get so much joy from and I'm very eager to get my foot in the door. I love capturing moments in time that photo's do not do justice. I’m driven to take more and more photos until I get the one that makes me speechless and the perfect photo can do that. I am currently a travel writer and I want to be a double threat; writing and taking my own photos to publish. In the future I see myself travelling, writing and photographing as a career and this opportunity could be the beginning I need. I am an explorer; I embrace my surroundings and search for something beautiful and interesting to photograph. I find something special in every picture and I believe I can create emotion through pictures and words. I would be thrilled and overwhelmed to join Jason on the assignment in Peru.
