My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

It would be an honor to be chosen for this scholarship because photography is my PASSION! I've been a graphic/web designer for about 12 years, but there's something about capturing the right photo that is amazing & exciting at the same time! I LOVE to travel because through traveling, you get to experience different people and different cultures.

Our would is aVERY large place, but most people either can't afford to travel or are too afraid to do so. My photography allows people to come along with me on a journey they may never take in their lifetime!

I recently took at trip to Senegal. It was a two week cultural immersion trip that I almost didn't make because my grandmother had a stroke. With her last breadth, she gave me her blessings to take to the trip to Senegal. That was the last time that I saw my grandmother before her death. I dedicate my work as a photographer to her memory.

The trip to Senegal left me thirsting for more opportunities abroad, documenting the cultural traditions of people all over the world. I hope the Oman Travel Photography Scholarship will allow me to show the world what I am capable of as a photographer, and build my portfolio of work.
