My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Cambodia | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

My journey begun when I was suddenly possessed by a travelling gypsy by the name of Bongo. Bongo my cheeky friend had freed me from all my worldly possessions, pulled out my thumb and hitch hiked me up the east coast of Australia. This world I soon found myself in felt quite separated from society but closer then ever to the real world.
The thing is, photography and travel to me have become the same love affair. I share my adventures through photography and mostly photography's what inspires my adventures. I hope from this affair that just one photo could excite someone to do the same, travel. This does not mean getting rid of everything you own and leaving it all behind, but sometimes you just need to drop everything and see what's going on in this fascinating world. Your new world could be a 1 hour road trip into the mountains, pitching the tent down the local caravan park or that photo of that tropical beach you cut out of a Woman's Weekly which is now stuck on the fridge. This is travelling and they're all new worlds.
I hope to be more of an inspiration to others and I know that this wonderful opportunity travelling to Oman would be the biggest step in achieving this dream.
