Simpler sides of life
USA | Saturday, November 15, 2014 | 5 photos
I seek thrills in experiencing and pointing my lens toward the simpler sides of life. Time spent in the backcountry and on safari in Africa has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the natural world, the animals that inhabit it, and cultures who live more closely to the land than we do in the USA. And the repercussions of man's demands from this planet are clearly encroaching on these delicate ecosystems and traditions. This sad truth, and the hope of helping to reverse it, makes photographs that center on wildlife, landscapes, and the interesting cultures speak most directly to me. And I share these images in hopes that they will speak a similar message to others.
The itinerary of this trip encompasses all aspects that turn me on as a photographer. Not to mention, becoming a Nat Geo photographer is my foremost aspiration.
