My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
United Kingdom | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 4 photos
I am William Pitt, I'm 21 and I'm a practicing photographer from Norfolk, England. There are many things that inspire me, mainly my surroundings, and the freedom that I have to capture everything that goes by. I love taking photographs so much that I am studying it at university right now.
The solitary process of working with a camera and a subject, and intertwining my thoughts and feelings into an image is what I found powerful about photography, its ever changing and there is so much to learn from.
Having the chance to go and practice doing what I love doing the most, travel and taking photographs would be amazing. Jasons photography can look at subjects from quite a subtle point of view, especially his images on Antartica, with vast open space, these are inspiring for me and I have a real interest in experimenting and capturing scenes similar to this, leaving more for the imagination of the viewer to construct.
The images submitted were taken at a traditional indoor bowls club near my home town. Bowls is stereotypically known as an 'elderly peoples' sport, and these photographs show a portrait of truth.
