Crossing the Pond indefinitely

I was raised with wanderlust installed in me by my parents, from a young age we were constantly jet setting around Europe (having been raised in the U.K. this was an easier and more affordable feat in the nineties then it is today) and when my father's job transferred us to Canada it seemed like the next logical step in my "mind-broadening-through-travel" adventure.
We "Pond-hopped" a few times, back and forth between England and Canada, but eventually we realized that we now truly belonged in the great white North. We packed up all of our necessities, ate our last bag of Walkers Cheese &Onion crisps and planted our little British feet on North American soil indefinitely.
Although there is a lot to be said for being able to hop on a train to continental Europe, there is much and more to be said for being technically connected by soil to so many unique and unbelievable countries (Brazil and Argentina springing to mind, am itching to jump on the next flight out but I am wise enough to know that such a trip requires significantly more in depth planning).
All I know now is that I have barely scratched the surface of this great country that I now have the honour of calling home, and I cannot wait to explore the neighbouring contents that are now a stone's throw away.
