Travel Photography Scholarship 2012entry
Cambodia | Tuesday, November 13, 2012 | 5 photos
I have just returned from six months in Cambodia, I have been there travelling after doing some charity work in The Gambia, the country is beautiful and I have decided I need to live there.
I do videography for charity organisations and while in Cambodia I have found some volunteer work to go back to, I use a canon 5d mark ii for video work but I also love to take photos with it, I would love to learn more about photography as anything I know I have taught myself. I have an eye for art and my brain processes images easier than words or numbers, writing isn't my strong point but I have a feeling for strange places and cultures and I look at things as a photo or movie sequence, I tend to look at things on the inside and try and figure how the image was captured or movie was shot.
Here are a selection of photos I took while in Cambodia, they were just personal snaps as I travelled around. A big problem in Cambodia is the plight of street children, they often sniff glue or girls as young as eight can find themselves being sold into prostitution, I would love to one day do a film about street children of Cambodia to help raise awareness or a photo journal.
