Hi, my name is Bethany Lawrence...and like so many others, I want to be a travel writer someday!
Although I knew from an early age, I officially launched my writing career in March, 2013, when I became enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts/Creative Writing at Flinders University, South Australia.
I began to realize that I could not just leave university with a degree in one hand and an outstretched palm in the other, expecting to be handed the perfect job. I learned early that life was just not like that. I knew my writing degree was going to be hard, not only because I would have the pressure of family begging me to change paths, but also because I was on my own in terms of finding a carreer. So I've made a promise to myself. Work hard, try my best, and never look back.
My combined love for writing and travel I hope to one day fuse. So far I have travelled only to Melbourne, Cairns, Sydney, Perth, Bali and soon-to-be Penang (June 2014!) but adventure has always been my forte and living a life of leaving a footprint on every trace of the earth has been a long-time dream which I know realistically may not be possible without the right oppotunities.
