My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Since I was a toddler, nature and the world have fascinated me; beginning with my back yard where I faithfully chased birds which I longed to catch, with salt shaker in hand. After having failed in my infantile attempts to do catch a little bird, I begged my father to tell me how. He told me, if I could put salt on its tail, I'd catch one.
Well, I haven't changed much - I'm still chasing birds or anything else that interests me, but now with my cameras.
I would be a great choice for your Travel Photography scholarship because I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer with an artistic view. I have a degree in English literature and Fine Arts, with experience writing and editing. I've read as much anthropology as I've time for and am hungry to see and know more of our fascinating and, so often, beautiful world and its inhabitants. Thank you for considering me, Ruth Christie
