A perfect nomad retreat.

Four years ago the longing for harsh weather, rough terrain and unknown worlds tore apart my precisely made plan for career, family and urban life. While slowly traveling I started exploring an inner world which was buried by the hectic pace of civilization. Everybody has an unknown wilderness inside which carries all the potential and treasures we seek outside. Being alone with the forest, with the mountains and rivers makes us see, makes us understand. Nature is our true teacher. What we experience alone in wilderness reflects our relationship to our internal world.
In 2012 I settled in Northwest British Columbia, a remote part of the world with rugged mountain terrain, harsh variable weather, dense rainforest and a wide range of wildlife. Besides acting co-founder of GSAR team in Prince Rupert, I'm following my true passion. My 4k cinematography project LIFE STREAM documents pristine nature in the last real wildernesses of this planet.
This scholarship is aligned with my values and path of life.
Stories through pictures enable humans to relate to what otherwise remains unseen. We only can understand what we see and change what we have understood.
