My Scholarship entry - Blind Clarity

I am an 24 year old American girl who's been living in Australia for 4 years. I recently graduated from a University here with a Bachelor's degree in Design, my major was Photography.

I should be chosen for the following reasons:
1. I'm the type of person you will never have to babysit in a foreign country; Instead you can focus on the photography skills and subjects with me.
2. I'm fluent in Spanish, from living in Spain. I will be able to communicate with the locals of South America.
3. I've spent the last 6 years in other countries besides my own, with no physical support of my family near. This has helped to shape me so that I have endurance, determination and excellent follow-through.
4. I am passionate about documenting cultures and I am a very curious person.
5. I traveled to Panama 5 years ago and helped a Peace Corps volunteer. I was able to document the indigenous people and learn about their culture. My goal is for my photography to inspire the change that our world needs for its people.
6. What drives me to get the best shot is my ongoing passion to express the story.
