About whatyoumakenotuptofate
Hello world! My name is Kalli and if I could, this is what I would do all day. I would write. A long time ago I didn't discover I was good at writing, but I did discover that I NEEDED to write. I used to keep a lot bottled in and learned very quickly not to trust that many people, but writing helped. I wrote when I was sad, happy, angry and a mix of everything, even when I didn't know what feelings I was having. Since then I have grown up to be a more socially acceptable person, but I have met amazing mentors, graduated, and almost mastered (according to Leiden University in the Netherlands) in writing. Having the skills are not enough, but they are necessary, the same way passion isn't the only thing you need if you want people to understand and be able to identify with you through your writing. But what passion will do is get you off your talented butt and help you harness that explosive creativity and love into something legible.
Besides writing I have many other passions. I needed a pretty big harness for all of this. I love reading, traveling, trivia, movies, TV, theater and all that jazz. I love my family pretty much above all, but I haven't lived close to them since I was 17. Luckily their loving arms extend so incredibly far and I am able to feel their love wherever I go, plus skype helps. Because I am away from home, family and good friends a lot I have had to kick my writing up a notch by attempting to always keep in touch, wether through Facebook or good ol' fashioned snail mail. Now I just imagined a snail bringing it, how would he even carry it? Anyways, that's me! Also, I have a tortoise named Earnest, he is the best! And I love puppies (i got Earnest because I couldn't have a dog with traveling so much). And last, but very much not the least, I love dragons. They are my faith. That untouchable thing that keeps me fighting and moving forward. They are what I want to believe in, the childish side of me who refuses to accept that they do not exist. They are the part I hold onto. Plus, they are super awesome!
Thanks for reading. All the best.
