After I watched the movie "Into the Wild", I completely understand one of the messages. The main character couldn't say it better.
"Only happiness when shared".
Months before I went alone to Ghana, to do some volunteering work. My main goal was not the volunteering work, but the escape from my life here in Belgium. I also went "into the wild". When I was alone, the only "obruni" in the house and my project, I realized my loneliness.

Once, I received 5 bath ducks. It was a present from a crazy friend. I didn't do anything with the present. They stayed in the shadows of my room, until I found them and got some weird idea. Maybe inspired by Amélie Poulain, maybe not, I let write down five of my friends their name on the breast of the ducks. Since then I travel with these 5 ducks, and share all my moments in the world, from my hometown Antwerp in Belgium until Machu Pichu in Peru. Most of my friends don't have time, or the spirit, or the money to travel so much as I do... so the ducks represent them and share my happiness...

The pictures I selected, are taken when I stayed 3 nights alone in Barcelona. I was alone, with the five ducks, and walked everywhere, sat down for hours and just watched everything. And tried to capture what's Barcelona. Barcelona isn't only a city, but also a place of tourists... And it looks me funny to take the same pictures you find in every travel journey, with or without people, with the ducks.

At this moment, I am a student geography. I really like to travel, to explore life, and the world, to listen to the stories of people (great and small), to take photographs, and try to capture the beauty of the world and life. I also like to be creative and extraordinary, and I think that the pictures of the ducks represent all these aspects of my
