Beautiful place! There is a real dichotomy here.  It is a massive urban centre which I expected to be manic and rushed, but I discovered a slower pace of life.  The retail stores open typically around 10am and trade til 7pm.  A much more sensible day I think! The place is filled with tourists who aren't in much of a hurry and Surfers Paradise seems to have adopted this ambling tempo. I love it.
