As you get to Gympie you have left the sunshine coast and are on a stretch of the east coast of Queensalnd called the "Fraser Coast"
Gympie is an old gold mining town situated along the Bruce Highway.From Gympie you can turn off towards the coast and the pretty Rainbow beach from where you can visit popular Fraser Island. I'll be back here later.
