My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am a 42 years male air-breather. I live in one of 13.466 islands of Indonesia. Yet I've only visited 5 of them, and seen less than 50% of these 5 island. And this "less than 50%" already has breath-taking mountain landscapes, excessively beautiful beaches, mystical lakes and temples, countless array of luscious senses appealing culinary, traditional musics, dances, and many other cultural rituals.

So, 13.461 islands to go, and I wonder what have been waiting for me to find, see, taste, and experience. And that's only in Indonesia.

And I just can't imagine what have been waiting for me in other part of the world. And I have no idea if my human form will live long enough to see all of those places.

Too many people live and experience so few good things on this earth God has created. Somebody has to bring the other parts of the world to them. Tell them stories, or show them pictures.

That's why I love photography. Because its magic.

It's a tv without commercials. It's a book without words. And it's a journey without travelling.

Simply magic. And I want to be the magician, who brings the world to the people, and the people to the world.
