About wandering_kiwi
Hello world,
I write while sipping from a steaming Chai latte in my favourite busling cafe, looking out onto my little piece of homely paradise. A beach that is alive with activity on Auckland's North Shore in Aotearoa, GodZone, or more commonly termed, New Zealand.
After taking myself off to the raucous chaos of University delights in Dunedins 'studentville', a momentary road-block in employment inspired my first overseas adventure with my partner and girlfriends. The spark was immediate.
The newness of everything we encountered while traversing volcanoes in Pucon; wobbling along a bikes and wine tour in Mendoza; speed-demoning down Death Road in La Paz, or slip-sliding with locals down waterfalls in Ihlabella, made me want more. I had caught the bug!!
6 months of Teaching English to cheeky elementary Thai children in Dan Chang, Suphanburi; allowed my senses to wander into a cultural world so different from my own. This base was perfect for South East Asian exploration and the next 9 months were filled with journeys with food, with elephants, with tubes in rivers, with scooters and especially with the reknown Thai smile.
Next mission: To dominate my career integration with travel as I sign on as an International Travel Consultant, my gateway to the world.
Phrase of the moment: Mai Pen Rai (Thai for "No worries") - Enjoy the moment and take on each adventure with gusto !!
